Project M.A.I.L. is a new service learning initiative that involves teaming up Mainland students (M), Alumni (A), International students (I) and Local students (L) to form volunteer groups to provide direct services to the rural community in Mainland China. The project aims to enhance students’ understanding of the country and nurture their ability to practise in the field what they learn in the classroom. By planning, implementing and participating in these service learning activities, students learn to appreciate the importance of team work and develop a sense of global citizenship.
