Training Course on Mainland Higher Education Administration and Management in Tsinghua University

Every year, the University nominates a number of managerial, senior professional or executive staff members to attend the “Training Course on Mainland Higher Education Administration and Management” held at Tsinghua University, Beijing. The course is jointly organised by the Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education (MoE), and the Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong. It includes lectures on higher education administration and the political, social and economic development of Mainland China, and offers opportunities for participants to meet MoE officials and representatives from Tsinghua and other universities in Beijing.

Shanghai-Hong Kong Academic Exchange & English Debating Competition

Since 2002, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Cultural Exchange and English Debating Competition has featured highly on the events calendars of both cities and attracted active participation from secondary schools in Hong Kong’s Southern District and Shanghai’s Putuo District. The annual competition provides a platform for students from both places to sharpen their debating, analytical and organisational skills and develop mutual understanding and friendship. HKBU is one of the co-organisers of the competition, which takes place in July every year.
